Product description

The Teutonic Knights were an order founded in Germany. Although they originally operated in the Holy Land they are best known for their expeditions around the Baltic Sea where they were beaten by their Slavic enemies. The Teutonic Knights were one of the most experienced orders of knighthood.

This surcoat was worn over the knights hauberk. Surcoats like this indicated the order that the knight belonged to and it protected the knight against dust, sand and heat of the desert.
