This axe is made after an early medieval Slavic hammer axe. Originals were mainly found in Eastern Europe and Germany. This type of axe was probably already developed in the Classical period and has a lot of similarities with the Scandinavian Petersen type A axehead.
This axehead is completely made of iron. It was used both as weapon and tool. Its length is 49 cm and the axehead measures 19 x 9 cm.
