This sword is a replica of an original that is part of a private collection. The sword is presumably made around the 1st half of the 15th century. The finding place is unknown. Several originals of this sword have been found, they are part of the collection of the Wallace Collection, the old collection of Ludovice Sforza, lord of Milan and Musée de Cluny in Paris.
This hand-and-a-half sword has a length of 99 cm with a blade of 79 cm and it weighs 1320 grams. It has a pommel that was frequently used in Italy. The sword is made of 54SiCr6 steel with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 54 ? 56. The pommel and cross-guard are made of steel.This sword is an Oakeshott type XIIIb.
