This chalice is made after several originals from the 1st to 4th century AD. Chalices like this were produced in South Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) where terra sigillata was made, techniques of semi mass production were used, as a result a lot of terra sigillata has been excavated.
This chalice is made of red earthenware. It is decorated with a relief showing Satyr and Pan surrounded by vines and columnae. It has a height of 14 cm and has a diameter of 13 cm. This chalice is completely handmade using the authentic method.
Washing-up instructions: Wash by hand, not suitable for dishwashing machines.
