This handmade wooden spoon is a replica of an original excavated in a Viking grave in Russia (Novgorod). This spoon was used by the Rusvik. Occasionally 9th-11th century carved wooden spoons have been excavated in i.a. Birka, Haithabu, York and Dublin.

This wooden spoon is completely handmade and measures approx. 35 x 8 cm. Treat the spoon with olive oil for maintaining the optimal quality of the wood. Do not keep it in water for a long time.

Washing-up instructions: Wipe with a damp cloth or rinse shortly with water. Wooden tableware should never be soaked in water or washed in the dishwashing machine. Wood can be treated with olive oil after cleaning.

This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that sizes may vary lightly from piece to piece, and that the item is not tested by an official authority on suitability for food preparation.
