This cup is a replica of several originals from the 1st to 2nd century AD. Cups like this were produced in South Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) where terra sigillata was made, techniques of semi mass production were used, as a result a lot of terra sigillata has been excavated.
This cup is made of red earthenware. It is decorated with a depiction of a Roman woman placing fruit and flowers on a columna (possibly as offerings). The cup has a volume of 0,3 l. This cup is completely handmade using the authentic method.
