This rattle is a replica of a Roman original excavated in France. Nowadays it is part of the collection of Musée Rolin d´Autun. It was excavated in the Roman city of Augustodundum, nowadays Autun.
This rattle shell is made of solid pottery and has a ball inside. The ball can not fall from the shell and when the shell is moved, the ball makes a sound. The shell has a length of 14 cm.
