This plate is a replica of dozens of originals that were excavated all over the Roman empire. Plates like this were used between the 1st and 4th century AD and were produced in the east of Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) techniques of semi mass production were used.
This plate is made of red earthenware. It is decorated with a few star-shaped motives. Its height is 4 cm and it has a diameter of 20 cm. This plate is completely handmade in the traditional way
