This Roman vasta is made after an original from the 1stcentury AD found in Velsen (The Netherlands). Nowadays it is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. Spearheads like this are found in the whole Roman world.
The shouldered head is made of slightly polished carbon steel. Its length is 37 cm and its maximum width is 5 cm. It can be delivered (dismantled) including a shaft with a length of 2 metres.
Tip: on many Roman spear heads the owner punched his name. You can do that with this spear head too.
