Small amphorae were used for several liquids in the Roman household. Fish oil or special olive oil were kept in it. They are also handy for storing olive oil for oil lamps, because the amphora can be used to pour the oil in the lamp. Ladies used these amphorae for storing cosmetics and perfume. Smaller amounts were kept in balsamaria for direct use.

This amphora is 15 cm high and made of white glass, it has a volume of 200 ml.
