This cup is a replica of a 1st century original excavated in Dragendorff. Cups like this were used between the 1st and 4th century AD all over Europe. Cups like this were used in the east of Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) techniques of semi mass production were used, as a result a lot of these bowls have been excavated.
