The rinkelbel is the predecessor of the modern rattle for small children. They were used from the 16th century onwards. This rinkelbel is a replica of a 16th century piece found in Amsterdam.
It is fully hand made from bone and contains three small, functional bells. On the one end there is a flute that can be blown and the other end is wider for suckling.
The rinkelbel is 8 x 2,1 cm large.
This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
