This rapier is a replica of an Italian original from 1630. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the National Museum of Vienna. This rapier has a luxuriously decorated hilt. Producing a hilt like this takes a lot of labour. They were mainly made in Italy and Spain.
This rapier is finished until the smallest details, a lot of attention was paid on the artistic coherence between the hilt and the pommel. The grip is provided with a knuckle guard and a straight cross-guard. The length of this rapier is 110 cm with a blade of 89 cm and a cross-guard of 22 cm. It weighs 1,2 kg with the point of balance fully in the grip.
This rapier is custom made.
This sword is designed for longetivity by using more advanced forging techniques and paying extra attention to weight and flexibility. The razor sharp version is suitable for intensive cutting tests.
