Product description

The Egyptian goddes Osis is one of the most important godesses of the Egyptian pantheon. The goddess was worshipped in the Nile delta. She symbolized fertility, magic and temptation. The goddess could even deceit Ra. Later on, the goddess was adopted by the Roman Pantheon: all over the Roman Empire Isis statues have been excavated. Also in Velzen, South Holland. Her iconography was the basis for depictions of Mary and Jesus.
This coloring plate has a size of 19 x 5 cm. It is suitable for school classes or as a gift.
The papyrus of this coloring plate is made exactly the same way as the papyrus in ancient Egypt. It is made of fibres that overlap each other and create a solid sheet of papyrus.
