The Pappenheimer rapier was a frequently used weapon, for example in the Thirty Years War (1618-1648). It was light, flexible and could both slash and stab easily. The Pappenheimer is named after Gottfried Heinrich zu Pappenheim, whose army often used this weapon.
This is a replica of a German Pappenheimer rapier. This rapier is delivered including a scabbard of wood covered with leather. Its length is 103 cm, it has a blade with a length of 80 cm and its maximum width is 4,3 cm. Weight without scabbard: 1,9 kg.
This item is semi-sharp and designed for decorative purposes. It can be made razor sharp at a surcharge.
