This Millefiori bead is a replica of a 5th century original excavated in South-England. Millefiori beads were used all over Europe during the Early Middle Ages. Other originals have been excavated in Birka, St Petersburg and Gotland. During the Italian Renaissance the Millefiori bead was revived and was worn by the richer people in society.

This bead is made of glass and has a diameter of 18 mm.
