The flail was presumably developed from the agricultural flail during the crusades. Because the steel ball was fastened to a chain it could be well used against enemies with a shield. This flail is a replica of a German 16th century original and was presumably used by heavy cavalrymen.
It is completely made of steel and has a grip with roundels for extra user comfort. The grip can be made in the leather colours un-dyed, brown or black.
