This suit of armour is made after several 15thcentury originals. Armours like this were a new climax in the development of plate armour around this period. The angular shapes give away that it is made in the German style. It is equipped with relatively simple tassets and pauldrons, but it provided a good protection during warfare.
Similar suits of armour were often worn with a lot of extra chainmail supplements. Armours like this were part of the collection of Musée de l?Armée, the Wallace Collection, Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Royal Armouries of Leeds.
The armour is made of cold rolled plate steel. It is available with a steel thickness of 1,3 or 1,6 mm and with an unpolished, polished or bronzed finish.
