From his 7th birthday, a Scottish boy already trained with swords, first wood, afterwards steel. The older boys from the Lowlands soon used a lowlander to scare off the enemy. Lowlanders were used between the 13th and 17th century.
This lowlander is a replica of a museum piece. As a result of its special treatment it acquired an antique appearance. It is delivered including a wall display. This sword has a length of 174 cm with a blade of 122 cm and a grip of 53 cm. It weighs 3,1 kg.
It is known that Robert the Bruce wore a similar lowlander.
