The lorica segmentata was worn from the 1st century AD by Roman legionaries. This type of armour plate consisted of iron strips that were attached to the inside on a leather strap. This reconstruction is based on one of the three types of loricae segmentatae that were found in Corbridge, Northern England. Models like this were probably used between 40 and 140 AD.

This lorica segmentata is made of 1,2 mm thick steel and is suitable for a chest circumference up to 110 cm (size M) or 130 cm (size L) (including a possible subarmalis (gambeson)).

This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
