This suit of armour is made of several parts that are all reproductions of originals. Similar suits of armour were worn between the late 14th and the 1st half of the 15th century. It is made in the Milanese style. They were worn by the European aristocracy and are depicted on tombstones and in manuscripts all over Europe. Suits of armour like this were i.a. worn during the 100 Years War between France and England.
The helmet is a pig faced bascinet, similar models are part of the Wallace Collection, Musée de L`Armée and the National Museum in Nürenberg. The arm protection is made like that of the La Balestra suit of armour and the 14th century Churburg suit of armour. The cuirass and leg protection are made after several cenotaphs in i.a. England and France.
The armour is made of colled rolled plate steel. It can be made with a steel thickness of 1,3 or 1,5 mm and with an unpolished, polished or bronzed finish.
