This is a replica of a Italo-corinthian helmet from the 5th century BC. This type of helmet was especially popular in the Archaic period, the 8th to 6th century BC. From the 5th century BC the Thracian helmet, which offered a wider field of view, was favoured. In Italy the helmet was worn during the time of the Roman Kingdom by the Romans and Etruscans.This helmet is Italic-Coronthic and has no crest. It is made of 1,3 mm thick steel and has a leather inlay for comfort and a chin strap for fastening. The helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 61 cm, it weighs 1,3 kg.
