The so-called musculata, a cuirass shaped like a muscular body, was worn from the 4th century BC until the 3rd century AD, first by the Greeks and then by the Romans.
This Greek cuirass consists of a breast and chest plate of 1,2 mm thick steel. The two plates are attached to each other by 6 leather adjustable straps. It is suitable for a chest circumference of 120 to 145 cm and weighs 4,9 kg.
