This jug is a replica of a 1st century original found in Pompeii. Similar jugs were used between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD throughout the whole Roman empire to store liquids like drinks and oil. They were also used in stores to offer and sell products in. Nowadays the can be found back in the collections of the Musée Carnavalet in Paris, the Musée de l'Antiquité in Rouen, the Musée Municipal in Lille and the British museum in London.

This jug is fully hand made from blue glass. He is approx. 15 cm high.

Washing-up instructions: Wash by hand, not suitable for dishwashing machines.
