This sword is a replica of an original that was made between approx. 1540 and 1580. The original is produced in Germany and had a single cutting edged blade, but one third of the point was double cutting edged. Swords like this were the predecessors of the cutlass.

Its length is 97 cm with a blade of 80 cm and a cross-guard of 19 x 9 cm. This sword is an Oakeshott type XVIIIc.
