This pole axe head is a replica of a late 15th century original. Originals are exhibited at the Musée D'L Armée in Paris and the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Pole axes were used intensively during the times of the English War of the Roses. They were the best weapons to use against plate armour in that period. This pole axe is semi-sharp but it can easily be blunted. It is delivered without a shaft.
