Simple forms of hand protection were made of leather, the more wealthy could afford chainmail gloves and the wealthiest men had gloves made of armour.
Throughout the history hand protection was very important because the hands are an easy target for the enemy. When firearms became more common the importance of hand protection decreased because long distance battles were emphasized.
This pair of gauntlets consists of several parts for the mobility. The upper edge is ornamented with a decorative edge which is typical for the late Middle Ages. The gauntlets are available in unpolished or polished steel with a thickness of 1,3 mm or 1,6 mm and with or without leather inner gloves.
