This torque (torc) is a replica of a Gaulish original excavated in Tayac (France). Nowadays it is part of the collection of the Musee d'Aquitaine. This torque was worn around the period of Caesars Gaulish wars. The torque was part of a gold hoard that was presumably hidden by burying it in the ground, together with 325 coins (from approx. 80-90 BC).

This torque is made of silvered brass. It measures 19 x 18 cm and is suitable for a neck circumference of 50-55 cm. It weighs approx. 600 grams.
