This drinking cup is a replica of an original from the 1st to 2nd century AD excavated in London. Cups like this were produced in South Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) where terra sigillata was made, techniques of semi mass production were used, as a result a lot of terra sigillata has been excavated.
This cup is made of red earthenware. It is decorated with a relief of two gladiators. It has a volume of 0,3 l, with a height of 12 cm and a diameter of 11 cm. This cup is completely handmade using the authentic method.
