This bracelet is made after a 8th ? 9th century original found in Wieringen, northern Netherlands. The bracelet was presumably made in Dorestad and was stolen during one of the Viking raids on this trade centre. Around this period Dorestad was one of the largest trade centres on the northern European mainland.
Bracelets like this are found all over northern Europe, also in Dublin and York. The bracelet is made of bronze and it can easily be adjusted to the right size.
This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
