This is a replica of a Celtic helmet from mid- La Tène period (3th to 2nd century BC). This type of helmet usually occured in the Alpine regions, Gaul and Northern Italy. Horse hair was often attached to the helmet peak.The helmet has a leather inlay and a chin strap for fastening. It is made of 1,6 mm thick steel and is suitable for a head circumference up to 62 cm. It weighs 1,8 kg.
