This cup is a replica of an original from the 1st century AD excavated in the area of Trier. Cups like this were produced in South Gaul. In the workshops (officinae) where terra sigillata was made, techniques of semi mass production were used, as a result a lot of terra sigillata has been excavated.
This cup is made of red earthenware. It is decorated with a relief of a satyr. It has a height of approx. 5,5 cm and a diameter of 7,5 cm. This cup is completely handmade using the authentic method.
