This helmet is a replica of an Italo-Corinthian helmet excavated on the island of Sicily. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the Glyptothek in Münich. Helmets like this were worn from the 4th century BC on in Greece and her colonies. This type of helmet was especially popular on the Italic peninsula, where it was even worn until the 2nd century AD.
This helmet is handmade of pewtered steel. The thicknesses in the helmet are also reproduced. The nose piece has a thickness of 8 mm. This helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 62 cm.
