This type of helmet was especially popular in the Archaic period, the 8th to 6th century BC. Since the 5th century BC the Thracian helmet, which offered a wider field of view, was already favoured. The Corinthian helmet was generally made of brass and covered the whole head, while there was a small opening for the eyes and the mouth. Later on the helmet was used by the republican soldiers of Rome.The helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 62 cm and is made of 1,3 mm thick brass. It is delivered including leather inlay and a chin strap.
