The colichemarde is derived from the original rapier shapes. This model was often used in the 17th and 18th century. Because the blade under the cross-guard was quite wide and became narrower just after several centimetres, the sword was more flexible than other duelling weapons.

This colichemarde has a wide double cutting edged stabbing blade and has a kidney-shaped cross-guard. Its length is 98,5 cm with a blade of 80,5 cm and a cross-guard of 14 cm. This sword weighs approx. 800 grams.

This rapier is custom made.
