This claymore is a replica of the 16th century claymore which is part of the collection of the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Just few claymores have been preserved because many of the blades were in a later period shortened and re-used in broadswords.

This claymore is an exact replica of the original, its length is 148 cm with a blade of 112 cm and a grip of 28,5 cm. The claymore has a hard wooden grip and a decorated cross-guard ending in a tip, its purpose was to protect the blade from moisture in the scabbard.
