This cuirass is based on the cuirass of the S18 suit of armour from the armoury of Churburg. The original is made between 1370 and 1410, presumably in Milan, and it was property of the Von Matsch family.
The cuirass is made of 1,6 mm thick steel and has a plackart of 4 segments. It is suitable for a maximum chest circumference of 120 cm, including a gambeson.
