This handmade unguentarium is a replica of a Roman original. Unguentaria were used by the Romans to store oils and pigments. They were also used as perfume bottles. Unguentaria were used in the Roman household and in trade as a means of storage. This type of unguentarium is shaped as a candelabra. They have been excavated in the region between the United Kingdom, Spain and Israel and just like the originals it is made blue by adding blue pigments to the fluid substance. Product details:
