This bust is made after the classical busts of the Greek philosopher Aristoteles. The original is nowadays part of the collection of the Spa Museum in Rome. Aristoteles was a Greek philosopher who is seen as one of the most influential classical philosphers in the western tradition, together with Socrates and Plato. He was a member of Plato`s philosophical Akademeia and his influence is present in Aristoteles` work, although Aristoteles represents a philosophical trend that clearly deviates from Plato.
This bust is made of plaster alabaster with an antique patina layer. It measures approx. 24 cm. It is provided with a marble pedestal.
