This bone belt end is made after several 9th and 10th century originals excavated all over Northern Europe.
Buckles like this were made of bronze, brass or bone and used by both rich and poor. A great advantage of bone was that it was relatively cheap.
This buckle is completely handmade and measures 4,2 x 3,8 cm. It is suitable for a belt with a width of 2 to 2,3 cm.
