A shamshir is a sword that originates from the Middle East and evolved from the dao, a Chinese sword. The first shamshirs presumably occurred in 1800 BC in Egypt and afterwards they were developed further to different shapes.

This shamshir has a length of 90 cm with a blade of 74 cm and a cross-guard of 12 cm.
