This seax blade is a replica of an original 9th - 10th century original. The blade is authentically made with the same damast pattern as the original. The scrama seax occurred all over Europe in a large variety. They were mainly used between the 7th and 11th century.

This blade is made of damast steel and has a hardness of approx. 58-60 HRC. Its length is 38 cm and the blunt side has a thickness of 5 mm. This blade has a max. width of 4,5 cm and it has a sharp edge. The tang construction has a length of 12 cm.
This blade is perfect if you would like to make your own grip and make the seax as elaborate or stylish as possible.
