This rapier is a replica of an original that was used from 1840 onwards as an officer rapier for over 70 years. It was used during the Mexican-American was in 1846-1848, the American Civil War in 1861-1864 and the Spanish-American War in 1898.

This luxurious rapier weighs just 0,8 kg and its length is 94 cm. The grip is made of several layers of brass. Its point of balance is situated 10 cm beneath the hilt and its percussion point is situated 28 cm beneath the hilt.
