Amber necklace Dorestad

Shipment in: In stock (immediate shipment)
Availability: In stock
This necklace is made after several pieces of amber excavated in Dorestad (Wijk bij Duurstede, The Netherlands). Amber jewels were already worn since the Stone Age. The Romans imported large quantities of amber from Germania. The Celtic and Germanic wore the luxurious amber as well. Later on, during the Early Middle Ages, amber was worn all over Europe and symbolized wealth.

This amber necklace is made of natural amber from the areas around the Baltic Sea. This necklace has a length of 55 cm and its stones have a length of approx. 10 mm.

This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
