This sword is based on several sabres that were worn during the late period of the First World War. It has a curved stiff blade with a long narrow fuller. The blade is polished and subsequently blued and as a result it has a deep blue colour. The grip is made of rosewood and is fastened to the tang with three brass nails. The steel three-quarter basket is also blued and provided with small holes.The sword is made of 1055 carbon steel. It has a length of 91 cm with a blade of 78 cm. It is delivered including a scabbard and weighs approx. 1,19 kg.
