The burgonet was used from the 16th century on mainly by cuirassiers and they were light, open helmets that provided a good field of view. This type of burgonet was worn in whole Europe from the 2nd half of the 16th century on. The helmet is made after a German original.

The helmet has a short neck protection that forms one whole with the cheek flaps. The helmet shows a lot of developments from the early closed helmet. It is ornamented with a rope-shaped edge.

Maintenance & care
Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your armour regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper.
