This sword is made after a late 15th century Spanish original made in Valencia. The original is nowadays part of the collection of Instituto de Valencia de Don Juan in Madrid.
The sword has two finger rings. The finger rings protected the fingers of the fighter when he placed them on the blade to use it as a rapier.
The length of this sword is 94 cm with a blade of 75,5 cm and a cross-guard of 19 cm. It weighs approx. 1,5 kg. This sword is an Oakeshott type XIX.
This sword is custom made.
Suitable for re-enactment and martial arts. The razor sharp version is suitable for cutting tests. The blade is handmade and tempered, using traditional forging techniques.
