This brigandine is based on an original found in Visby. In this Danish city, a gory battle was fought out in 1361. This brigandine was likely worn by a lower to middle class infanterist. The brigandine consists of different iron plates that were attached to a leather jacket and to each other. Often a brigandine was worn over a hauberk.
This brigandine is made of high quality leather and has steel plates of 1,6 mm. It can be easily adjusted to size. It is suitable for a breast circumference up to 115 cm and is 105 cm long.
