This is a reconstruction of a 13th century sword. The Oakeshott type XIII was well-known for its type D cocked-hat pommel.
The sword has a length of 96,5 cm with a blade of 79,5 cm and a max. width of 4,4 cm. The point of balance is situated 16 cm below the cross-guard. The pommel and cross-guard are made of steel. The blunt, battle-ready blade is made of carbon steel with a scale of Rockwell hardness of 48-50 HRC. The included wooden scabbard is covered with leather.
