12th century pouring jug Pingsdorf

This is a replica of a pouring jug that was probably used in the 2nd half of the 12th century. It was part of an excavation of several ceramic jars, bowls and cups from Pingsdorf in Germany.

It is completely handmade of the clay from the Rhineland that was traded to The Netherlands, Germany and Italy around the Middle Ages. The luxurious pouring jug is simply but stylishly decorated. Its length is 20 cm.

This item is a museum replica.

Washing-up instructions: Wash by hand, not suitable for dishwashing machines.
